Your Bio

The goal of my photography is to capture a moment in time so it can be explored and enjoyed. By freezing the moment in time, details can be seen that are not apparent in real time. I hope this will lead to a greater appreciation of nature that is all around.

Due to physical limitations most of my photography is done from or near the car. I hope my images will get you to looking around where ever you are. Several people think the best images can only be made by hiking miles to get secluded. Hiking is good but don't overlook what is near. Also if you can't hike don't give up on the idea of making some great images.

My interest in photography started in the late sixties. I became all digital in 2001 and have enjoyed the transition. I have attended several seminars and classes on various aspect of digital photography.

Being based in Tucson, AZ I can and do enjoy all the desert has to offer. Tucson offers mountains as well as the desert. With Saguaro National Park and the Desert Museum close, Tucson is a great place for photography.

In 2007 I took my first visit to Bosque del Apache in New Mexico. I have returned at least once each year since then. It is an awesome place to take photographs, experience wildlife and meet some enjoyable people.

Enjoy looking through my galleries and let me know if you are interested in any of the images as a card or to hang on your wall. I'm available for lessons or presentations. Just contact me by clicking on "Contact" at bottom of page and we can arrange something.
